Dell @ PC Fair

When you decided to purchase a Dell computer, Dell Laptop or any Dell products

PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY ESPECIALLY AT PC FAIR OR ANY COMPUTER FAIR.

When buy Dell at PC fair, the sales personal will tell you that Dell is good, on-door warranty, when you call he will come. Is that TRUE? i don't know, because i never success.

The extent warranty up to 3 years is available for DELL. But at PC Fair the sales person will tell you that, DELL upgrade is expensive!! The product is GOOD!! Can upgrade in future !!!

YES! Maybe he is right, but the fact is when you need upgrade, he got a lot of extra jobs to do. (especially PC Fair, when there are many other customers when you don't buy. The price for laptop is actually the same even there is no Fair or purchase online.)

Oh ya, maybe the sales person will say up to 10 FREE GIFTS available but wouldn't tell you CHEAP GIFTS is given. Sometime, the Gift given when purchase online is much better than Fair (One friend purchase online and get the Gifts from Dell).

When having problems, the sales person will say, call Dell, they will solve it for you. "If you have any problems just call Dell, we just in charge of selling" that is what they will say. BUT is that TRUE?

When you planning to call the DELL, remember don't use handphone (cell phone). IT WILL COST YOU A LOT. Only using the phone with wire will be FREE.

When you CALL DELL, it will be.... PLEASE REGISTER BEFORE YOU CALL. WE TEACH YOU AND SOLVE YOURSELF. WE WILL ONLY SEND TECHNICIANS IF REALLY UNABLE TO SOLVE.

When calling, they will asking the computer verification number like a "pro". BUT when come to problems especially "small problems" like "laptop keyboard problems", they just teach you and ask you try over and over again, If fail, try over and over again, teach you ON PHONE. Alright, tell him that already try many time but still having the same problems. They will start over again, teaching on PHONE. If really unable to solve than they will ask the customer to register first!!! (Some retailers especially PC FAIR retailers didn't register the products for customer)

Alright, REGISTER......... ONLINE !! if the customer without internet, how? OK, online and finish registered. Call DELL, phone teaching again......................... after many time.................... did the technicians come????? for small problems?????

Answers is i don't know. Until now the problem still there, haven solve yet.

I am not a Dell user. But my girl friend was. So What!! Wasting time for solving a problems that we cannot solve ourselves is the RIGHT of CONSUMER........

Maybe if your DELL having small problems, SMASH IT, BREAK IT, MAKE IT BIG, maybe you will have the chances to meet with the Dell Technicians...........

*note: my friend who purchase online, is GOOD. without any problems. BUT there is a case that, a person make purchase online, but.... didn't receive it !!! Dell says that product is delivered. But the customer says didn't receive it..

Eve of Independent Day?

30 August 2009, the eve of independent day for Malaysia,
Going to count down? No...
Going to sleep? No...
Going to have a party with friend? No...

Due to there are no electricity supply during the 31 August 2009 for my lovely university, so i decided to visit McDonald and planning to spend my whole night here.

Visiting Mcdonald not just for dinner, also for online purpose. The university have their own wireless services, but, it slow, slow until unable to load a google page. Sometime even unable to detect it.

Starting from July 2009, i become the loyal customer of Mcdonald, Because it was near, and it also because of it provide stable internet connection for me to complete my homework.

Today, is the eve of my lovely country independent day, and i found there are a lot of students which also have the same purposes as i have, that is having dinner and online at the same time.

Today the McDonald is full of people, full of students, and full of laptop also.
The time is passing second by second, when 12 midnight, will all of us here celebrete Independent day?, will all of us scold out the "Merdeka, Merdeka, Merdeka"? There are still2 hour and 49 minute to go~

21 August 2009, a "memorable" days.

On 21 August, i have totally experience the "strength" of Johor Bahru, Malaysia motor drivers.

From the first day i came to Johor Bahru (JB), i have hear from my friend that drive in JB must be very careful. Haha, on 21 august, i was experience it myself.

JB motor driver have a behavior that drive in "middle" of the road. What i mean middle here is drive in between the car when high speed !!! Even traffic jams or at the highway, i experiences that a lot of motor driver drive like that and it was DANGEROUS.

on 21 August, 2 motorcycle was having accident in front of me because of that behavior. Two of them crash with each others and because of the impact of the "accident" their motor hit my car, one of them fall in front of me and another one is beside of me.

Even it was an accident, we still hear that "BE~~~~~ BE~~~~~" from others vehicle, what their heath make of? i fell shame with them.

Luckily i didnt drive in high speed, if not i was already drive over a motorcyclist and i become a "killer" !!

For all the motorcyclist in MALAYSIA, specially JB!! please care about your life !! you are not always lucky and god will not always giving his bless on you !! there are billions of people that he need to care of, you must care about your life !!

For Malaysia government, are you proud to say that your road safety campaign is success? Millions of ringgit malaysia spend on those campaigns, is it success??? Are you aware of what happening in JB??

Lesson from Alan Wilson

on 10 August 2009, a memeroable day which i attend a talk, or actually i can say that i learn a lot from Mr. Alan Wilson (with Dr. or Prof title: so sorry that i forgot) a lecturer from UK.

On 10 August 2009, he was given a talk in UTM and i was happy that i can join that talk with the topic about relationship between brand and web 2.0.

Actually now i was involing a lot in internet marketing or more simply say that the affiliate marketing.

Overall i can say that, it was a great talk. however, the students of UTM who came late is showing no respect to him. I feel shame with them who come in late and keep making noise.

This time, i would like to share about the knowledge that i gain from the talk from Alan Wilson.

What is Brand? a strong brand is undestorable and haven ultra long life spam. The Global brand name take long time to build it up but i can destory in one night if the management level done some critical mistake. ONE CRITICAL MISTAKE CAN DESTORY A BRAND IN A SECOND.

Web 2.0. a web system that become more and more popular nowadays. Most of the famous social website is build on the base of Web 2.0 such as the twitter, facebook, MySpace and many others website that allow u to edit and build your own application.

Will Web 2.0 influence the BRAND? after the talk, my answer will be YES. The power of network should not be avoid. A company who did a small mistake will be publish online and share with global user. Everyone will know that you or your company did something wrong.

POWER of web 2.0 provide a places for user to share their reviews and experiences towards a products or services. It will assits your company or brand grow fast in short time if your company maintaining good quality and services. However, it also can destory the company population in few second.

Maybe you will ask if i ask someone to do positive reviews by using web 2.0 to increase my population. YES that may work, but consumer become cleaver and they will know how to identify which positive reviews done by someone hired by the company. THAN A PROBLEM RISE. If the person you hire, is retired or work for another company. HE WILL SAY THAT HIS COMPANY BEFORE HIRE HIM FOR WRITING POSITIVE REVIEWS. When public know about it. The brand and company that hardly build-up can be destory.

I was asking few question during the talk and i summarize a below:
1) Is that anythings in the world that cannot be Branded?

YES, almost all the things can be branded, the people, country not only product and services, almost everything can be branded.

2) In year 2007 to 2008, the Google brand value have increase more than 40% and H&M, a new company that not included in Top100 in year 2007 but it was in Top 25 in year 2008. What is their success factors?

Actually, if the company provide unique and good services to their consumer, their brand value may incerase in a short time. However, the company must meet the global market needs and wants. Besides that, the company who growth faster in short period on time. WITHOUT good management, they may destory in few years also.

3) Will Search Engin result will influence a company sales, is the SEO enable to assist a company brand?

YES, the Search engin result will influence sales, that why company like Google come out with the Google Adword which advertisement show depend on the consumer searching keywords. About the SEO, it will assist in webpage ranking. Howeevr, you can use SEO for increase ranking. Your competitor also can use it. THE KEY is still come back to good and quality services and products. In future, the reviews site will increase and may overcome the original sites. Hence, maintain the good and quality services is important.

Thanks to Mr. Alan Wilson, i learn a lot from it.

Hey !! Finally the name for the screening event have begin decided and it call "Layar Gerila" !!
The "Layar Gerila" also can consider as the reborn of "In V Night" which mean independent movie night. This time, the "In V Night" is back with the brand new name !! "Layar Gerila".

For those who not understand Malay languages, "Layar" mean screen, and Gerila mean "Guerrilla" not the Gorila.

Why we name the event in Malay? because the Malay is Malaysian mother tongue !!

Why organize screening event? of cause is for promoting the Malaysia local firm !!

Through the screening, we would like to introduce few films which make by Malaysia local filmmaker. In the Layar Gerila, we are showing the latest films from Dean Sham, the new star of Malaysia local filmmaker.

Because of the success of "In V Night" in year 2008, now we are trying to make the "Layar Gerila" as the Legend of Screening event in UTM.

In future, more similar screening event in Malaysia will "pop-up" especially in University and i believe that with our hard working and support of the Malaysian. One day, our country films will be recognized by people around the World.

i wonder why i always visit Mcdonald so frequently?

Because of the food is delicious? Environment? Cheap? The answer is NO !!!!

just because of the Wifi and air-conditional at Mcdonald attract me here. Not me only, i found a lot of others student here also.

Why?

Hahaha, need Wifi lo~, University internet service is BAD, BAD and BAD !! until their student need others sources to searching information their homework and assignment...

Luckly there still a McDonald near by. If not... Haiz.................

Assignment Vs McDonald

Wow!! finally i start work on my first assignment, hahahaha finally i can say good bye for my lazy life and start move on again.

Today, 11am until now 5pm, none stop doing assignment and having the McDonald Meal at the same time, having good time with my group member and enjoying the fun environment.

Actually we are not the only student which doing assignment at McDonald.

Maybe it because of the University wireless or internet services too bad and cause the student need find another sources for information searching. Is that the services provided for local university? Sometime, even some area inside that university with the name of WiFi zone also unable connect to the internet.

There are few words that to my beloved University, students is your customer and please don't always make your customer disappointed with you.

Thesis title??

Oh! Haven have a title for my Thesis yet !!

Final year student always busying with their thesis, and i'm one of them too.

already 2 week pass. i still haven decide my thesis title which should be the first priority.

i'm a kind of person that require stress to do somethings but i didn't feel the stress now even if i fail to complete my thesis, i cannot graduate from the university.

What happen to me? Maybe when the deadline is near, i will change my attitute and start work harder? who know?

Haha, i will know the answer at October when the deadline is near.

Busy Life

At the end of semester, it was always a lot of assignment and a lot of test during a short period. I am also one of those person who rushing with their assignment and test. Sleep 4 to 5 hours a day already became normal and stress become one of my friend always beside me..

However, i was trying to relax.. free myself from those busy life.. free my mind from none stop thinking.. Do the job SMART is the only solution that i can think of.

Monte Carlo

WARNING ! DON'T GAMBLING

what is monte carlo? CASINO located at Malaysia Genting Highland !! a place full with fun and dangerous. a heaven and hell... Full with devil and angel.... that is the monte carlo..

that was a good experience for those who never experience it... Casino, a place gather all kind of gambler. A place only for adult.... a field only for winner and loser.......

my experience, when start gambling... all cash note change into token, which only a simple chips and simple until we ignore it value... RM5, RM 25, RM 50, RM 100 become a simple token... when playing, already forgot the value of the token.. normally RM5 for a lunch already very expensive for me and start complain. but in casino, we dunno how much we spend, RM 5 token just put and gambling. when win, just add some token on desk.. when lose... just lose some token.. and almost total forgot the value of the token. we only realise than we lose when the desk is empty----- mean that " YOU LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY"

however, it still a good place for experience once in our life. In casino, just like our life, got win and lose, up and down, happy and sad, planning and thinking, stress and relax... experience a lot of emotional just in 1 or 2 hours. that is what i never try before... for me, it was a good experience..

one of my smoker friend tell me, he quit smoking, and the reason is... in monte carlo... he saw a uncle, a old smoker with black teeth and smelly mouth. than he realise, if he keep smoking.. one day he just become like that... and HE DON"T WANT BE LIKE THAT !! ^^ Good that he quit smoking..

Everyday listen to the lecturer teaching ABC.
